Vermilia is an artist coming from Finland.
Her music is a mix of epic pagan metal and sweet, raw, and melancholic vocal harmonies in her native language. Vermilia is creating everything as an independent artist, from music to graphics to videos to even shaman drums.
BIOGRAPHY
VERMILIA (Solo artist, Finland)
With 200 000 unique listeners and over 2 000 000 streams on spotify since her debut album “Kätkyt”(2018).
Her debut album “Kätkyt” was one of the most best selling metal albums on bandcamp during the weekend of pre-release announced. First 2 cd presses were sold out with the following special c-cassette boxes less than a 3 days after release. “Kätkyt” received huge amount of praise in different medias printed/online.
On march 1st 2019, She announced her cover version of finnish anthem song called “Täällä Pohjantähden Alla” which has been huge success on spotify. After the release it jumped on number 1# most viral songs in Finland on official spotify charts.
On may 20th, 2020 Vermilia released “Keskeneräisiä Tarinoita “EP . On november 6th, Vermilia released ”Suru on kunniavieras”. The single has been streaming over 300 000 streams in spotify.
Second full-length album “Ruska” came out on september 9th, 2022. Ruska is Finnish language and means Autumn Foliage.
”This refers to the time of the year when the spectacular natural phenomena of the autumn foliage happen or when leaves change colors and the trees get ready for winter.” and it’s been streaming over 600K after the release.
Vermilia has been touring a lot with her live musicians in Europe with the Ruska (Autumn foliage) album, playing major festivals like Ragnarök Festival (DE), Dark Troll Festival (DE), Dark Easter Metal Meeting (DE), Celtic Transilvania (RO), Tuska Festival (FIN), Nummirock (FIN), and Dark River Festival (FIN), to name a few.
Also, she’s been featured as vocalist and flutist for Caledonian metal band Saor in their Finnish shows in 2023.
Vermilia supported legendary SIGH (Jp) in March 2024 in their Finnish shows and then, She did a 6-show headliner tour in Spain during autumn 2024 and 5 -show headliner tour in autumn 2025.
By now, with over 2,000,000 streams, Vermilia released on February 14th, 2025, her anticipated third full-length album, “Karsikko“, which reached Finland’s official charts (#3 most selling physical albums) and #30 on official charts.
In July 2025, Karsikko was chosen as the album of the month on YleX radio. (One of the major radio stations of the Finnish Broadcasting Company.
With Karsikko vinyl she reached the most selling physical charts on #7 in october 2025.
